Dr. Austin Woods received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions in Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
He started his undergrad and played soccer at Seattle Pacific University (SPU). At SPU Austin met his wife, an “East Side” native, who quickly converted him away from the snowy winters of Montana to the ‘mild’ grey winters of Seattle. Since then, Austin has been very active in the local community and has a passion for providing the absolute best hands-on physical therapy treatment in Kirkland and the Eastside. He is an active member in the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). He is certified in Functional Dry Needling and has a passion for mentoring and working with Doctorate of Physical Therapy students from across the country.
Dr. Woods believes in a holistic approach and has a passion for providing evidence-based care to every patient, utilizing the most effective exercises and manual physical therapy techniques available. His interests include treating individuals with spinal dysfunction, whiplash associated disorders, rotator cuff injuries, vestibular problems, chronic pain, and sports injuries. As a former collegiate athlete, Austin appreciates working with people recovering from sports injuries relating to soccer, basketball, and golf.
In addition, he enjoys hiking, golfing, photography, and spending time with his wife and two children. Dr. Woods will also be completing his Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist Certification (OCS) in March.
