Doug Cary

Doug started AAP Education in 1996 to provide aspiring clinicians with access to a range of high quality professional development. Doug personally developed and teaches a progressive range of dry needling courses (Introductory, Advanced Upper, Advanced Lower and Master Needling) using a range of teaching methods; F2F, webinars, online and anatomy wet labs. Doug believes clarity in anatomy, provides a better awareness of technique and so all our courses include a 2-hour wet lab session.
Doug has completed a postgraduate diploma in manipulative physiotherapy and a postgraduate diploma in clinical acupuncture at the Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine. Doug finished his Specialisation in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2009 and is currently undertaking his PhD candidate at Curtin University, studying sleep patterns and their relationship to pain and stiffness. Doug is the inaugural W.A. chair of the Acupuncture & Dry Needling Group and WA representative on the A.P.A. Acupuncture Working Party, which finalised the A.S.G.’ Guidelines for Safe Acupuncture’.
